Meet Lia
Lia was born in Phoenix and raised outside of Washington, DC. She graduated from Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design & the Arts in 2018 with a B.A. in Design Studies and Design Management.
Lia’s Design Approach
She uses a variety of methods to help clients visualize their newly designed spaces and is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
Passion for Adaptive Design
Lia is passionate about innovative and adaptive design. She earned 21 credit hours in special education and has worked closely with the elderly and those with disabilities from a young age.
Community Builder
She is also enthusiastic about building a community of artisans. In 2020, she founded the Arizona Artists & Woodworkers Facebook group to help local entrepreneurs showcase their work, network, and grow their businesses.
Meet David
David was born at Luke Air Force Base and spent his youth assisting his stepfather, a local contractor, with renovating, repairing, and maintaining houses. He learned skills in plumbing, electrical, drywall, masonry, carpentry, tile, and more.
Military Service
He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2005 and served 11 years leading Marines during numerous combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He earned multiple awards and was discharged as a staff sergeant in 2016.
Expanding Skills
After the Marine Corps, David expanded his skills to include ATF compliance, security, asset protection, automotive repair, sprinter van conversions, and carpentry work.
A Creative Partnership
David and Lia met in 2021 and quickly discovered their shared love of construction, design, and woodworking. David’s broad skill set, combined with Lia’s creativity, makes a dynamic team.
Role in Projects
David is very active in the design and build process of renovations, working alongside construction crews and managing projects.
Life Outside Work
When they are not working, they enjoy spending time with their animals, as well as going on outings with David’s teenage daughter.
Outdoor Adventures
They love taking their overland vehicle on off-road adventures and camping lakeside to rest and relax.
